Vintage CHARLES THOMAE Sterling St Michael the Archangel Religious Medal

Vintage marked STERLING with the Charles Thomae hallmark religious medal of St Michael- the back of this medal is blank and very shiny- so it appears to be rhodium plated to resist tarnish. The medal measures approximately 13/16ths of an inch tall not including the bail.

Religious pocket saint of Saint Anthony with case- measures approximately 1 inch tall. In the case 1 & 1/8ths inches tall. This type of pocket shrine was often carried by soldiers in World War II and could actually be older. The case is brass but I am not sure what St Anthony is made of- he does not feel heavy enough to be lead. There is a bit more weight to lead pocket saints. This one is in really nice shape.
